Ada Wong

Resident Evil is a game that came out in 1996.  T & I bought a copy.  It was the most expensive game I had ever purchased.  It was like $20.00 or something.  Which was a whole lot for us at the time.  Our rent was $225.00 and I made like $4 an hr. at my part time job, was paying for college, art supplies, books, my car and T was working for min. wage at Arby's.  Still, it was one of the best purchases we ever made.

We spent countless hours playing Resident Evil and screaming out loud when zombie dogs or other things would jump out of nowhere to kill us.  We played as Jill Valentine and took turns working our way through.  T ultimately beat it and we cheered!  It was a very bonding experience.  The couple that plays together...stays together.  We've played nearly every single Resident Evil since.  Occasionally getting lucky enough to be blessed with co-op instead of one player!

The thing I remember most (other than Claire's cry of "Leon") about Resident Evil 2 was Ada Wong.  She was mysterious and sexy.  You didn't know if she was good or bad.  Well, Hot Toys new Ada Wong is awesome!

Hot Toys continues to release superb sculpts of figures, toys, movie figures, game figures, etc.  Honestly, no one beats them.  Not only that, but you can see the artisans behind these sculpts on Hot Toys Facebook page.

Sideshow Collectibles has Ada Wong available now for pre-order.  She ships June 2013.
She's a sixth scale figure meaning 12 inches tall.  She has 25 points of articulation, 7 interchangeable hands, guns, crossbows, daggers, a suitcase and so much more.  Her price isn't too bad at $199.99.  Hot Toys are, after all, a work of art.  Art ain't cheap kids.

The Lit Turn-Table Stand

Oh yeah, that's right.  Someone finally made & is selling the action figure stand we have all wished for.  It rotates & it is lit.  It's made for those awesome 1/6 scale figures that look so sweet.  12"-ers.  Can you imagine how awesome your Luke & Han in Stormtrooper gear are going to look on this!?

I don't even know what to say.  Here's another look:

Wow.  Holy wow.

Hot Toys Sixth Scale Thor

Wow!  The Avengers Film did exactly what I thought it would.  Kicked ass at the box office!  Over 200 million dollars opening weekend.  Internationally, this film has already made over $500 million dollars!  Awesome.  I haven't made it to the theater yet to see it.  Hopefully sometime in the next three or four days!

Avengers collectibles are sure to start flooding the market.  I've got one of the best ones right here.  Hot Toys, maker of incredibly amazing sculpts of you favorite heroes, has just released  their THOR sixth scale Movie Masterpiece Limited Edition figure for $199.99.

The amount of amazing detail & the materials that Hot Toys use to make the skin texture look so life-like make these the best sculpts on the market.  This figure has over 30 points of articulation, three pairs of changeable palms, a detachable red cape, figure stand with nameplate.  I can't find anywhere that a helmet is included though.  Some pictures show him wearing one, but it is not included in the descriptions.  It's possible they decided against the helmet later on in production.  That seems strange though.

You won't need to spend a dime on any other Thor figure if you spend the $199.99 on this one.  If you purchase it through Sideshow, you can use their payment plan & pay $50.00 a month instead of the big lump sum.

The artists that worked on this Thor figure were: Kojun (Sculpt) and JC Hong (Paint)
