Muppets in the Smithsonian

The Muppets, some of them anyway, are invading the Smithsonian.  There will be some of Jim Henson's earliest Muppets and some of those that are recognized around the world in the Smithsonian's new Puppetry exhibit.

The Smithsonian was so excited about the aquisition, that they allowed everyone's favorite Diva, Miss Piggy, wear the Hope Diamond.

There isn't a set date yet for when the exhibit will open.

The Smithsonian has had Kermit the Frog for several years, so it's nice to know the Frog and Pig will now be together in a place where the whole world can see them and smile.

Labyrinth Worm

C'mon, you know you want this.  That darn Labyrinth worm is so creepy cute!  When people come over they will squeal with terror joy! You can use it as part of your Jareth the Goblin King costume as well.  Stick it on your shoulder like a parrot and run around screaming that there's a worm on you.  Or, use it as your tea buddy.  Labyrinth worms love tea parties!  This plush is 13 inches long, 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide and so cuddly, you'll wonder how you managed to sleep before.  You can order it online at Entertainment Earth.

RIP Muppet Man

Jerry Nelson was a Muppeteer.  He was one of the originals.  He started way back in 1965 with Jim Henson as the right arm of Rowlf the dog.  You know him best as the Count from Sesame Street.  Count Von Count.  I loved him best as Sgt. Floyd Pepper.  That's Floyd there in the picture.  The Muppets have always been & continue to be a never ending source of love, imagination, dreams & possibilities.  Thank you Mr. Nelson, for all the laughs & joy.
