Two Who's

Doctor Who in the form of Doctor 10 and Doctor 11 are coming to comics.  UK Publisher Titan is putting out two new series featuring these beloved Doctors and if you act now and subscribe, you will get a cute little Doctor figure all your own.  The cover art looks great, but I'd like a peek at the inside art.

Simon Fraser will be creating the visuals for the 11th Doctor, while Elena Casagrande will be tackling the art in the 10th Doctors book.

New Who

I can't even begin to tell you how heartbroken I am that Matt Smith is leaving.  I haven't loved a Doctor this much since Tom Baker and i can honestly say I love Matt more.  Luckily, I have a way to create episodes and journeys never taken on screen with the awesome Underground Toys collection of Doctor Who toys!

The new Timezones created for use with the 3 3/4 inch figures will really add realism to your playtime.  Not to mention be awesome backdrops for your action figure shots for Flickr.  The one above feature 2075 AD and 1983.  There are promises of more to come depending on sales.

They all click together making it possible to extend the sets to unimaginable lengths and sizes.

You should start seeing these in August at you local comic shops and wherever else you find your Who merchandise.  If you want to make sure you get your hands on them both, pre-order now from Entertainment Earth or Amazon for somewhere between $40 to $50 bucks before shipping/tax, etc.

Another set of new Who merch you are gonna wanna snag is the companion box set.  Rose Tyler (2.0), Martha Jones (She saved the world), Donna Noble (has been saved), Sarah Jane (with K-9!) and Astrid (She had a hit in the 80's with a re-make of The Locomotion).

I really wish they would have gone for a hair down version of Martha.  Oh well.  Her sculpt is aweful as well.  Why is it that Martha never gets any of the Who love?  I love Martha Jones.

Anywho,  Entertainment Earth has 'em for pre-order at $62.99.

11th Doctor's cool coat!

Matt Smith has got to be my favorite Doctor ever!  Well, next to Tom Baker.  No one will ever surpass Tom.  Still, if anyone could, it would be Matt.  He's single-handedly brought back the bow-tie and made it cool. (Not really.  you will never convince me that bow-ties are cool.)  If you want a prop replica from Doctor Who that makes you look snazzy and  does more than collect dust on a shelf, I have just the thing for you.  head over to Think Geek and check this out!

It's the 11th Doctor's double breasted, six-pocketed, 100% mole-skin fabric greenish officially licensed Pea-coat.  The price: $329.99.  Hey now, this is a for real jacket.  Lined and everything.  Go google pea coat.  They aren't cheap.  And this is the Doctor's pea coat.  Okay, I know...it is a little over-priced.  Still, it's cool!

4th Doctor Scarf

If you want to go as the 4th Doctor, played by Tom Baker, for Halloween, then there is one thing you MUST have.  The scarf.  The scarf of scarfs.  The longest scarf in TV history.  Now, if you don't have a friend like I do who has promised to make you one (okay, maybe she didn't promise me, but I'm hopeful despite the fact she's only had one lesson that I know of), then you have a new alternative!  Entertainment Earth is offering the Elope 4th Doctor Scarf for $49.99.  You can pick up a shorter version for $24.99.

Hurry though, Halloween is in 9 days!

Doctor Who Watch

Underground Toys has a beautiful new Doctor Who watch available for pre-order through Entertainment Earth.
It comes in a Doctor Who tin and has Gallifreyan symbols adorning it.  The picture below is just a proto-type & I hope they fix the IIII or 4 on the clock.  I'm not sure how the quality will be.  I'm hoping it will be a leather strap and not some plastic composite, but I guess we will have to wait & see.  If you want to follow Underground Toys Doctor Who Blog for the latest updates, go here: Doctor Who Blog

Aliens

Hello & Happy Monday kids!  I've got an assortment of Alien type collectibles for you today!  Not just Alien aliens either.  First up, a saucer man.  These aliens are both freaky scary & laughable at the same time.  At first, you're all like Ha, ha...then, the more you look at them, you get creeped out.  Or is that just me?  Well, if you enjoy staring at the Saucer Men, you're in luck!  Executive Replicas has created a Saucer Men bust just for you!  3:5 scale or 16 inches tall and extremely limited at only 200 pieces which are hand numbered.  Where can you find this fabulously creepy collectible?  Well, Entertainment Earth has a few for pre-order right now for   $249.99.

Next up, we have an alien that everyone loves.  Some love him so much, especially this version, that they refuse to accept that he regenerated.  It's a 10th Doctor Vinyl Maquette Statue from Dynamix. This Doctor figure is a cartoonish interpretation of the 10th Doctor as portrayed by David Tennet standing at 9 inches & limited to 3,000 pieces.  If you are one of the Tennet lovers, grab this one & that way you really can hold on to him forever.  I'll wait for the Matt Smith version myself.  You can pre-order from Entertainment Earth or pay import prices & get it here at Big Chief.

Lastly, a plushy little Alien.  So cute & cuddly it's hard to resist.  That's right, it's a plush chest burster from the Alien movie.  Available for $19.99 & in stock now at Entertainment Earth.

Tiny Doctor Who Figures For You!

Underground Toys & Entertainment Earth offer you some sweet little Who's. There are two series of these little guys/gals/aliens. There are ten different figures in each series. Each package contains 6 figures. Be aware though, these are what is called "blind-packed", which means you can't see what you are getting, making it likely that you will get duplicates or triplicates if you order more than one bag of 6. Each package will run you $17.99 online at Entertainment Earth. You might shop around & see if you can find them at Hastings or Vintage Stock a little cheaper or have your local comics shop order them for you.

In the Flesh

Okay, this is pretty cool. A Doctor Who ganger making set. Gangers are the term for the clones made out of artificial flesh in the Doctor Who episode "The Almost People". I don't know about you, but I have always loved sets that come with goo or stuff to mold & molds to do it with! This one is also great because the mold is of the 11th Doctor. That means all you custom figure makers can make endless copies of Matt Smith's Doctor & sculpt him up any way you want! How cool is that?

The set comes with figure mold of the doctor & tools to mix your Flesh compound. Use the included hand pump to squirt flesh compound into the mold and make your own Ganger figure! Set is $52.99 (import from UK) at Entertainment Earth!
